Tokyo Electron Korea is making monthly donations to the local community through the municipal office. The program, in which about 300 employees participate on a voluntary basis, sets aside fractions of their monthly salaries to be donated. About 150,000 won is donated each month to help the underprivileged in the vicinity.
The company also sought donations at TEK Family Day, an event designed to express appreciation to its employees and their families. In accordance with the spirit of the event, many of the employees made donations to the local community as a token of their mutual goodwill and friendship. The donations were used to support the disadvantaged in the local community before the Chuseok (autumn eve) holiday.
Tokyo Electron Korea will keep encouraging its employees to contribute to the society and expand the opportunities to improve the local community.
