On September 22, 2023, employees from Tokyo Electron Shanghai (TES) took part in the Zhangjiang Fun Run, hosted by the Zhangjiang Development Promotion Association, the Parkyard Hotel, and the Community Center Shanghai (CCS), collecting 10,000 yuan in donations.
Prior to the start of the run, a representative of CCS presented TES with a medal in appreciation of its proactive participation in charity activities. Money collected through the event is used to send gift packages that bring love and comfort to children living in impoverished regions and abandoned children.
Despite the wind and rain, when the start gun sounded, almost 1,000 sports lovers from over 40 companies set off on an exciting and happy journey. Participants appeared to enjoy the exertion, and the chance to pay their respect to the public welfare in their own way, as the running teams created a unique and beautiful spectacle along the route. The rain intensified during the day, but it only spurred the athletes to greater effort, as they picked up their pace and sprinted fiercely towards their goal. In the end, one of the TES employees finished in fifth place.
Active participation in public charity work through the Zhangjiang Fun Run promotes the enjoyment of fitness for employees while simultaneously making small contribution towards children living in impoverished regions and abandoned children in need of assistance. In the future, we will continue to encourage employees to actively engage in public charity activities and to share benevolence and comfort.
