Tokyo Electron Taiwan (TET) carried out an event to provide a warmhearted Christmas.
Students in rural elementary schools and National Nantou Special School received presents given with affection from all TET employees.
Every year on Christmas Eve, TET joins with the World Peace League and National Nantou Special School for this event. Students write their Christmas wishes on a card and employees choose presents for them. To fulfill these various wishes, the employees gift presents that they nicely wrapped to the children, such as soccer shoes, basketballs, stationery sets, bags, board games to enjoy with family, and dolls. This event aims to enable the children who receive the presents to enjoy Christmas and spend a cheerful, fun time.
After the event is over, the employees receive thank-you letters from the children who are full of gratitude. Many of the employees say they are moved to receive these letters from the children and many are even more eager to participate in the next event. They express the firm desire to play Santa for the children again next time.
The World Peace League primarily provides aid to children in rural schools where there are quite a few families struggling financially. In addition, many of the students at National Nantou Special School have serious mental or physical disabilities.
Through the Christmas Wish Site event, not only does our company want to help make those children’s Christmas wishes come true, but we also hope to encourage them to have the spirit to envision dreams and believe they will always come true.
