Tokyo Electron Technology Solutions (TTS) Fujii head office, Hosaka and Tohoku offices conduct food drive activities as part of their social contribution efforts, timed with children’s summer and winter holidays.
TTS conducted food drive activities at the Fujii head office, Hosaka and Tohoku offices from July 7 to 9.
In this initiative, to ensure that children from financially challenged families in Yamanashi and Iwate prefectures receive adequate meals and nutrition even during the summer and winter holidays when school lunches are unavailable, employees donate food items, which are then distributed to children. In addition, the total value of the collected food is matched and donated by TTS through a matching gift program.
Fujii head office and Hosaka Offices began their initiatives in 2015 and this year marked their 10th anniversary.
Tohoku office also started its program in 2021 and has begun to establish itself as annual summer and winter events.
When a call was put out for employees at each office, many employees made the time and took an interest in the initiative, and a large amount of food was collected even amid rising prices.
Furthermore, the total value of the collected food was matched and a total of ¥797,210 was donated from the three offices.
As part of the TEL FOR GOOD initiative, TTS will continue its food collection efforts and support through the matching gift program to bring warm smiles to families in need.
