Tokyo Electron Miyagi (TML) is an official sponsor of the Vegalta Sendai soccer club, and hosted the Vegalta Sendai Match Day event at the Yurtec Stadium Sendai on August 3, 2024.
Prior to the match, lottery-winning employees and their families had the opportunity to experience a stadium tour, including a walk on the pitch, which is normally off-limits, and a tour of the players’ locker rooms. The children of the employees presented the referees and the captains of both teams with flowers to encourage them and were able to escort the players, hand-in-hand, as they entered the pitch.
The children were beaming with excitement as they participated in the event. The heat was no match for their enthusiasm.
In the match that followed, Vegalta Sendai achieved a 2-1 victory over the league leader Shimizu S-Pulse, eliciting a great cheer from the crowd of supporters. While the result itself was a reason for celebration, it was also a wonderful match day with a full stadium enjoying an exciting and fulfilling match.
TML is committed to continuing this event in the future as a Gold sponsor of Vegalta Sendai and as the owner of a development and production site in Miyagi Prefecture.
