NEWRecipient of the Minister of Environment Award as a top company for resource recycling practices
Korea

Tokyo Electron Korea (TEK) was selected as a top company for the recycling of electric waste and electronic products and was awarded the Korean Minister of Environment Award on January 17, 2025.
In May 2024, TEK concluded an “Agreement on resource circulation for electrical and electronic waste products” with the public interest corporation E-Circulation Governance .
This organization is a non-profit public interest corporation certified by the Ministry of Environment. It contributes to the prevention of environmental pollution and the building of resource recycling systems by gathering electric and electronic products disposed of within Korea and implementing environmentally friendly recycling processing according to each material from the discarded home appliances that were gathered.
In July of the same year, TEK collaborated with E-Circulation Governance and held a “discarded home appliance resource recycling challenge” campaign for employees.
Many employees participated in recycling activities for discarded home electric and electronic products through this campaign while engaging in activities related to raising awareness and spreading the importance of recycling resources.
Also, in September, home appliances discarded at the office were disposed of together through E-Circulation Governance, and the results of the recycling initiatives were recorded. We are striving to implement these activities continuously through pathways such as the organization’s online registration.
We hope to see even better results going forward with the continuous active participation of many employees.
As a leading ESG management company, TEK will continue to commit to TEL FOR GOOD activities for the conservation of the environment.
