Tokyo Electron (TEL) held "Food Drive in Akasaka" at the Akasaka Headquarter over two days from December 4 to 5.
Food provided by employees (noodles, canned food, snacks, condiments, beverages, etc.) was donated to the non-profit children's cafeteria Minato Kodomo Shokudo in the food drive.
The collected food was then distributed to those in need (148 households) at a food pantry* operated on the premises of Zojo-ji Temple on December 18.
TEL donated the equivalent amount of the gathered food totaling ¥120,000 to the above-mentioned non-profit children's cafeteria as a matching gift.
TEL will continue activities to actively support local communities in the future.
*Food pantry: An activity where food collected during a food drive is managed, sorted, and distributed free of charge to those in need.
