Tokyo Electron Europe (TEE) became a sponsor for the Celbridge Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) Club Féile Camogie Team, active in Ireland, in 2023.

Camogie is a traditional Irish sport played only by women, which uses a wooden stick called the camán and a small ball called the sliotar.

In addition, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) has designated Camogie as an Intangible Cultural Heritage element specific to Ireland.
It is said that there are around 100 thousand players in Ireland, but it is also played in other countries with Irish communities, such as the Unites States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

The Celbridge GAA, established in 1885, is based in Celbridge, Kildare, in Ireland.
The club is run by volunteers and is involved in the organization and promotion of Gaelic sports such as Camogie, Hurling, Rounders and Gaelic Football.

Both the U15 and U17 teams won in the Spring League held on May 25.
In a remarkable feat, the Celbridge GAA – U15 team advanced to the final league for the first time in 15 years.

TEE is glad to be able to contribute to local women’s sports teams in Ireland.

TEE will continue to support the activities of the Celbridge GAA Club Féile Camogie Team.
