Tokyo electron Europe's Crawley office participated in the “Tub2Pub” which is a recycling campaign by Greene King Pubs to raise money for "Macmillan cancer support".
Empty plastic confectionery and cracker tubs consumed during the Christmas and New Year's holidays are collected and transported to a plastic reprocessing center, where they are shredded and then sold to plastic manufacturers to use as recycled plastic.
“Tub2Pub” event was held from January 1 through February 11.
All profits from the sales to the vendors will be donated directly to "Macmillan cancer support.
Employees of Crawley office brought the tubs from home, and we managed to collect 50 tubs that have been delivered to one of the pubs nearby.
Macmillan Cancer Support:
It provides specialized medical care, information, and financial support to people affected by cancer.
