Tokyo Electron Shanghai (TES) conducted an old clothes donation campaign under the slogan “Together in Heart and Action, Moving Towards a Greener Future.”
This campaign aims not only to encourage employee participation in environmental protection activities but also to promote a sustainable lifestyle. The collected clothes are recycled to reduce resource wastage.
During the campaign, eight donation points were set up across various offices, making it convenient for employees to donate clothes they no longer need. Moreover, a pick-up service was provided to further lower the barrier for employee donation participation.
If the total donations reach the target of 5,000 kg, a public welfare forest covering 666 m2 will be planted in the name of Tokyo Electron (TEL) by campaign partners, promoting environmental protection and adding greenery to the planet.
To maintain employee participation and enthusiasm, TES regularly updated the latest donation data, reminding employees to contribute through periodic emails. Additionally, TES recognized TES Quarterly/Annual Environmental Guardians and presented them with heartfelt eco-friendly gifts, acknowledging and thanking them for their contributions.
The campaign was carried out from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024, and 102 employees participated. The total weight of the collected clothes was approximately 1,088 kg.
Through this old clothes donation campaign, TES not only demonstrated its commitment and action towards environmental protection but also strengthened team cooperation and public spirit among employees.
Through this initiative, instead of just recycling and conserving resources, TES aims to incorporate the idea of valuing resources, caring for the earth, and collectively creating a greener and more sustainable future into its corporate culture.
