NEW1000 Days of Parenting –Educational Support for Infants in Rural Areas and Low-Income Households–

Tokyo Electron Shanghai (TES) has been supporting the 1000 Days of Parenting donation plan, presented by REAP*, since October 2020 to help the establishment of a facility in Sichuan Province specializing in childcare .

Launched by REAP, the 1000 Days of Parenting project aims to improve the local educational environment by operating a community-based facility (parent-child center) specializing in child-rearing. The facility provides books, toys, and targeted education programs for infants between the ages of zero and three.

Currently, there are three such facilities set up in nursery schools across Sichuan Province to improve the treatment of early childcare workers, expand on their professional development content, and to enhance accessibility to facilities. They are used widely by local residents (approximately 30,000 people, or 700 households, have used the facilities to date).

TES plans to continue its contribution to local development.
