With the spirit of TEL FOR GOOD, Tokyo Electron Taiwan strives to increase environmental awareness through education and promotion of ESG. This time, beekeeping activities were conducted in Taiwan on July 1, 8, and 15.
Employees and their families studied the secrets of bees and strove to understand the connection of bees and nature firsthand. Without the support of bees for pollination, many fruits and vegetables would disappear, leading to food shortages and ecological imbalance that would make life difficult for people and animals.
Thanks to the explanation of the beekeeper, the attendees now know that climate change is affecting bees’ lives, causing their numbers to decline sharply. Everyone was shocked by the severity of the issue and asked many questions so they could learn how to protect bees.
During the field activity, attendees were impressed and excited to see and feel the vibration of bees, though it was scary to see so many bees directly in front of them.
