Food from the Heart is an independent non-profit Singapore food charity organization established in 2003. Tokyo Electron Singapore volunteers from different departments gathered on July 6th to help check the expiry date, sort, and pack food items into goodie bags for distribution to sponsored schools, welfare homes and Self Collection Centers.
The purpose is to alleviate hunger by providing reliable, consistent, and sustainable food support to the less fortunate through food distribution pro-grams. This creates awareness that food is precious and that there are people in Singapore who need our support. The beneficiaries include low-income individuals and families who are residents of welfare homes, as well as those living in housing estates. Their per capital income typically falls below SGD690.
All volunteers are happy to spend meaningful time together for a worthy cause.
