Tokyo Electron Singapore (TSI) organized an internal fundraising sales event at the Singapore office. This is one of the CSR activities initiated to help raise funds for the children of Playeum Ltd.
Playeum is a charity organization who supports all children to help them develop life skills whilst enhancing their voices and abilities through using interesting ways and methods such as play and the arts.
During the event, various sweet and savory foods like chicken & avocado salad, ngor hiang, murukku, etc. were sold. These food items were homemade by the volunteers. Aside from that, we also have some very talented volunteers who spend a lot of time and effort making handicraft items like bracelets, mobile strap accessories, and paintings to sell during the fundraising event. This fundraising event have garnered a lot of participation from employees, and we even have engineers who came down specially to buy something to show support to their colleagues, as well as knowing that the money used to purchase the items were going towards a good cause.
It was all thanks to the overwhelming love and support from colleagues and volunteers of TSI, we have managed to raise a total of 4,913 Singaporean dollars by the end of the event! It was very nice to see everyone from the office gathered for such a meaningful event. It was also a great opportunity for employees to take a short break from work to communicate and bond with colleagues from other departments.
We have donated the full proceeds from the fundraising event to Playeum Ltd. The fund raised will go a long way towards supporting children of underprivileged background to help them develop and build their confidence, creativity, and life skills using play and arts.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our employees and volunteers for their time and effort and offer our gratitude to Playeum for gracing us with their presence at this meaningful event with us.
