The Hoshi Shinichi Literary Award is an opportunity for writers to battle it out over ideas and the stories, in the field of “scientific works of literature.” A sponsor of the award since its inauguration, TEL is the patron of the Tokyo Electron Award, which it presents to outstanding submissions.
The idea of letting one’s imagination run free in the spheres of science and technology shares similarities with the development of cutting-edge technologies at TEL. The company is excited to see what technologies and ideas entrants to the Nikkei Hoshi Shinichi Literary Award come up with—unimaginable ideas and technologies that hint at future societies full of hope.

The stories submitted to the award depict countless different futures with great imagination. Going forward, TEL will continue to sponsor the Hoshi Shinichi Literary Award in the hope that, through the cutting-edge technologies it creates, it will one day to be able to realize these futures.

Applications for this fiscal year have been accepted since June 5.
