Tokyo Electron (TEL; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiki Kawai) announced today the establishment of a new development site in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

In India, the semiconductor industry ecosystem is developing fast due to the country's recent rapid economic growth. To further expand our business by contributing to technological innovation in semiconductors, TEL has established a new development site in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

In addition to promoting our business development in India, this site will engage in software development, including equipment design and simulation. TEL will promote joint research on next-generation semiconductor technologies with Indian universities and academic institutions that have advanced technical capabilities. TEL will also work to acquire highly specialized talent and build networks necessary for technological development.
