The 3rd TEL E-COMPASS Day Held

Tokyo Electron (TEL; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiki Kawai) held TEL E-COMPASS Day on March 18, presenting a report on its environmental activities to business partners.

The event this year marked the third in the series and was held in a hybrid format, with about 845 business partners participating either in-person or online. The main theme of the event was TEL’s “Net Zero 2040*1” target announced in December 2023. Featured presentations included a panel discussion, an activity report on our E-COMPASS*2 supply chain environmental initiative, updates on the environment, and activity plans for the coming year.

We will continue to collaborate with business partners to establish and enhance our sound and unified environmental supply chain management practices.

TEL is targeting to reduce all its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2040, including Scope 1 and 2 emissions (i.e., emissions by TEL) and Scope 3 emissions (i.e., those by its supply chain).

A supply chain initiative launched by TEL in June 2021
