Announcement on Workplace Vaccination for COVID-19

Tokyo Electron (TEL; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiki Kawai) will shortly begin workplace vaccination for COVID-19 in line with the Japanese government’s policy. Eligible recipients are the employees working at designated TEL offices in Japan, and it is expected that most of them will have received a second shot by the end of August.

In compliance with the government policies in Japan and other countries, TEL puts the highest priority on protecting the health and safety of our stakeholders, including employees and customers, as well as on preventing the spread of infections. At the same time, we will take a responsible approach to product supply and service delivery in an effort to secure the continuity and growth of business.

Implementation plan overview:
Starting date: Tuesday, July 6, 2021 (or as soon as preparations are made)* Starting date may vary by location.
Location: Tokyo (Akasaka, Fuchu), Iwate, Miyagi, Yamanashi, Kumamoto
Eligible recipients: Employees at designated offices in Japan (including regular employees, outsourced employees, and subcontractor’s employees) who wish to be vaccinated
No. of recipients: Approximately 12,000 employees can be vaccinated at workplace before the end of 2021

Measures to facilitate vaccination:
The time spent for vaccination will be regarded as work time, and employees who experience side effects will be entitled to a special paid leave.
