Tokyo Electron Hosts TEL E-COMPASS Logistics & Facility Day

Tokyo Electron (TEL; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiki Kawai) hosted the TEL E-COMPASS*1 Logistics & Facility Day on July 7, bringing together business partners from the logistics and facility industries to share updates on TEL’s environmental initiatives.

Following last year's inaugural event, this year’s event reviewed TEL's ongoing efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its logistics operations and conserve energy in its facilities. TEL then presented its upcoming action plans and invited participation.

TEL also announced that beginning this year, the project will be managed by an organization under the direction of the Chief Logistics Officer (CLO). This change is intended to strengthen leadership in identifying key issues, formulating implementation policies, and coordinating with business partners.

Approximately 170 participants joined this hybrid event, either in person or online. Five business partners were invited to present case studies on relevant topics including the extensive use of electric and long combination vehicles, as well as the production, sale, and use of non-fossil fuels. TEL remains committed to reinforcing environmental supply chain management in close collaboration with its partners.
