Tokyo Electron to Construct New Building in Kyushu

Tokyo Electron (TEL; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiki Kawai) has announced plans to construct a new logistics building (provisional name) on an industrial site adjacent to the head office of its manufacturing subsidiary, Tokyo Electron Kyushu in Koshi City, Kumamoto.
The approximately 110,000-square-meter site was recently acquired from Koshi City.

Technological innovations spurred by the world’s progress toward digitalization and decarbonization are fueling growth prospects in the semiconductor market. Tokyo Electron Kyushu develops and manufactures essential products that enhance the performance of semiconductors in terms of speed, capacity, reliability, and power savings. As such, these products have significant growth potential. Construction of the new building will improve logistical efficiency and enable optimal use of space in existing and new buildings. This will accelerate and expand the development and production of coater/developers, cleaning systems, and emerging 3D packaging systems that are expected to grow significantly. These improvements will contribute to the sustainable, medium- to long-term growth of business and society.

Construction of the logistics building is scheduled to begin in spring 2027 and be completed in spring 2028.
