Notice of Cancellation of treasury stock (Cancellation of treasury stock under the provision of Article 178 of the Companies Act)

At the Board of Directors meeting held on December 21, 2015, Tokyo Electron Ltd. resolved to cancel treasury stock under the provision of Article 178 of the Companies Act, as follows.


1. Type of shares to be cancelled: Share of common stock
2. Total number of shares to be cancelled: 15,400,000 shares
　 (8.53% of issued shares before the cancellation)
3. Scheduled date of cancellation: January 20, 2016

(Reference)The number of outstanding shares after the cancellation will be 165,210,911 shares.
