Notice about MOFCOM merger review

Tokyo Electron Limited and Applied Materials Limited are actively engaged with regulators around the world to secure approval of our proposed business combination. In the event that we are unable to conclude discussions with the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People’s Republic of China prior to the scheduled end of the current review phase on or about February 3, 2015, we anticipate that we will be able to continue discussions beyond such date in coordination with the remaining reviews in other jurisdictions.
