Tokyo Electron Taiwan (TET) donated 1 million Taiwanese dollars each to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association and RE-THINK.

With the objective of gaining a better understanding of charity organizations, TET invited charity organizations that are active in a variety of fields to its head office from January to late March. Through these events, employees deepened their understanding of each organization and selected the organizations to which TET would donate based on their votes.

Charity sales, lectures, and fundraisers were held for each organization at the offices in Hsinchu and Tainan , where many employees participated.
As a result, one of the organizations selected was the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, which held an event to shed light on the importance of regular exercise habits as a countermeasure against the growing trend of dementia occurring at younger ages. This also demonstrated that employees are very concerned about the increase in dementia patients who require care as the population of Taiwan ages.
Another organization that was selected was RE-THINK, which advocates the concept of environmental protection based on the belief that long-term promotion is necessary for environmental protection.

Close to 1,000 employees participated in the events and a total of 260,000 Taiwanese dollars (approximately 1.14 million yen) were donated, which included employee donations.

TET hopes that each organization will support people who need these donations as they aim for a sustainable and better society.
