Tokyo Electron Completes Construction of the Miyagi Technology Innovation Center

Tokyo Electron (TEL; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiki Kawai) announced today the construction completion of the Miyagi Technology Innovation Center in Miyagi, Japan where a manufacturing subsidiary of TEL is located.

Housed on the center’s first floor are a lab area for co-creation with business partners and a training center for customers. An open innovation area occupies a part of the first and second floors.

The semiconductor market expects further growth in step with the technological innovation that progresses the digital shift of society. Significant market growth is also anticipated for etch systems developed and manufactured by TEL in Miyagi, Japan as innovation continues to accelerate in this field. With the completion of the Miyagi Technology Innovation Center, TEL will pursue its efforts to attain breakthrough technologies and higher productivity that are critical to the company’s growth.
