Tokyo Electron recognized with prestigious score for global water stewardship

Tokyo Electron (TEL) announced today that the company has been selected as a prestigious A List company in the water security category of a survey conducted by the non-profit organization, CDP.

In the field of environment, TEL is dedicating its technology toward improving performance and reducing power consumption of semiconductor devices and flat panel displays, and has formulated medium-term environmental goals to be achieved by 2030. Furthermore, the company has introduced “E-COMPASS”, a supply chain-wide iniviative to protect the global environment on an ongoing basis. TEL believes its contribution to the sustainable use of water through these activities has won the recognition of CDP.

CDP conducts surveys on the climate change and water security measures taken by private corporations and local governments, and the results are made public.
