Tokyo Electron recognized with prestigious score for global water stewardship

Tokyo Electron (TEL) announced today that the company has been selected as a prestigious A List company in the water security category of a survey conducted by the non-profit organization, CDP.

In the field of environment, TEL is dedicating its technology toward improving performance and reducing power consumption of semiconductor devices and flat panel displays, and has formulated medium-term environmental goals to be achieved by 2030. Furthermore, the company has introduced “E-COMPASS”, a supply chain-wide iniviative to protect the global environment on an ongoing basis. TEL believes its contribution to the sustainable use of water through these activities has won the recognition of CDP.

Established in the U.K. in 2000, CDP is a non-profit organization supported by investors and other entities in many countries. CDP conducts surveys on the climate change and water security measures taken by private corporations and local governments, and the results are made public. The 2021 survey, conducted on behalf of 590 institutional investors whose total assets reach US$110 trillion, covers over 13,000 companies and 1,000 local governments around the world.
