Toshiki Kawai: Representative Director
President & CEO; Date of birth: August 26, 1963

History

Tony Kawai was named President & CEO of Tokyo Electron Limited in January 2016.
Prior to this position, he had been the Senior Executive Vice President, COO and the Representative Director for Tokyo Electron Limited since June 2015.

Mr. Kawai held the role of VP & General Manager of SPS (Surface Preparation Systems) Business Unit. He was responsible for all cleaning business segments including Wet, Dry and Scrubber.
Prior to this, he was a VP & General Manager of TPS (Thermal Processing Systems) Business Unit and SD (Single Deposition) Business Unit and spent 6 years in Crawley, England and in Dresden, Germany.
He started his career at Tokyo Electron in April 1986, and he has more than 20 years of Furnace (TPS) business industry experience and has a successful track record of delivering customer satisfaction and growing the market share.
