On April 27, Tokyo Electron Singapore (TSI) held a tree planting activity (planted eight memorial trees) as part of Earth Day to contribute to the One Million Trees Movement in Singapore initiative.
The One Million Trees Movement in Singapore initiative began in 2020 with the goal of planting a million trees across the island in places such as along streets, in gardens and parks, along paths inside and outside of parks, in nature reserves, and in natural parks in Singapore.
Planting trees not only improves the landscape, but also increases shade.
It is also hoped that reducing the city’s heat island effect will help mitigate climate change and contribute to biodiversity.
TSI will continue to contribute to the local community through TEL FOR GOOD activities that allow employees to take part in environmental conservation.
