TEL and imec Extend Partnership into Life Science Related Research
Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL) announces the participation in imec’s bio-research program “Human++”.
One of the research tracks within imec’s “Human++” program is the development of next-generation platform technologies, which can be applied to automated cell inspection methods for clinical-grade induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The agreement between TEL and imec includes the development of compact lens-free imagers to monitor iPSC colonies, and silicon photonics biosensors to quantify biomolecules in culture medium.
To further strengthen their collaboration, TEL will participate in imec’s resident researcher program and send a researcher to imec for joint research in the life science field.
