Tokyo Electron (TEL) in Hsinchu, Taiwan, a group company of the leading semiconductor production equipment manufacturer TEL, was founded in Taiwan 21 years ago. To demonstrate its commitment to the corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles, the company organized charity events again this year, including a coastline cleanup and the Run for Charity. In the same spirit, the company is also participating in the 2017 Taipei Marathon for the first time. The company checked the number of people who participated in the cleanup activity, the amount of collected waste, and the total distance covered by the runners, so as to increase its donation to the National Nantou Special School by a proportionate amount.
Over 200 employees of TEL in Hsinchu, Taiwan participated in this year’s charity events, and the total amount of donation reached NT$1,000,000. The donation was presented to the National Nantou Special School on December 21 by President Masaaki Hata of TEL in Hsinchu, Taiwan at the company’s office Christmas party. The fund will be used to provide children with disabilities with an improved studying environment, as well as to create opportunities for them to interact with society. The students at National Nantou Special School gave a dance performance and mingled with the employees in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere of the party.
TEL in Hsinchu, Taiwan will continue to engage in activities that will give many people hope and encouragement.
