Tokyo Electron (TEL) builds industry-academia partnerships with research organizations from around the world for diverse and innovative joint research and development. By integrating TEL’s technologies with that of the research organizations’ expertise, TEL will fulfil its corporate philosophy, “Striving to contribute to the development of a dream-inspiring society through our leading-edge technologies and reliable service and support.”
The Tohoku Forum for Creativity is the first international visitor research program established by a Japanese university.
Nobel Prize-class researchers are invited from around the world to the TOKYO ELECTRON House of Creativity on campus, where they can stay for one to three months and concentrate their efforts on a research project. TEL is actively supporting the efforts to educate and nurture future generations. We also consider it an important duty to help enliven and invigorate the Tohoku Region where our development and manufacturing bases are located, and we have been giving it our full support since its pilot program in 2013.
