AUSTIN, TEXAS- On March 22, Texas Instruments presented the 2005 Supplier Excellence Award to Tokyo Electron's (TEL) Etch Systems, Thermal Processing Systems, and Single Wafer Deposition Business Units. This is the sixth time TEL has received the esteemed Supplier Excellence Award from Texas Instruments.

The award, given annually since 1983, honors an elite group of firms whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meets TI's high standards for excellence. "TEL's Etch Systems, Thermal Processing Systems and Single Wafer Deposition organizations have proven their dedication and commitment to TI through their continuous drive to improve customer satisfaction and technology engagements in TI fabs. "We are delighted that three of our business units, Etch, Single Wafer Deposition, and Thermal Processing Systems, have been honored with the 2005 Texas Instruments Supplier Excellence Award for providing world-class technology and customer service to one of our top customers. Being recognized again in 2005 inspires us to continue to meet and exceed TI's continuous improvement challenges in the future. On behalf of TEL employees worldwide, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to TI for honoring us with this very prestigious award," said Ken Sato, President & COO, TEL.
