TOKYO, September 12 , 2005-Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL) has committed to donating up to $250,000 to the American Red Cross's Disaster Relief fund for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The company will make an immediate cash donation of $150,000, and match up to $100,000 from TEL employee donations made to the Red Cross.

Tetsuro Higashi, Chairman & CEO of Tokyo Electron Limited, said, "We extend our deepest sympathies to all of the victims of Hurricane Katrina and their loved ones, as they try to recover from this devastating experience. We hope that TEL's donation to the Red Cross and support of employee donations can help in some small way to alleviate their suffering and assist the many people who will need to rebuild their lives."
