On Thursday, January 23, 2003, marching band members from area high schools and The University of Texas Longhorn Band received training from musicians and color guard members of the Tony® Award-winning Broadway musical, Blast! This clinic was made possible through generous support from Tokyo Electron. The University of Texas Performing Arts Center's Professional Development Clinics provide exciting opportunities for area students to meet and study with professional, touring musicians and entertainers.

Roughly 200 students from Lanier, LBJ, McCallum and Reagan High Schools, as well as members of The UT Longhorn Band met with Broadway professionals who shared inspirational advice and trade secrets with the aspiring performers.
