Adopt A Street

Keep Austin Beautiful honored TEL with an award for their Adopt-A-Street program at their annual luncheon in February 2003. Adopt-A-Street, a subsidiary program of Clean Streets, allows local groups to adopt streets near their establishment or residences. TEL served as the key sponsor for this Keep Austin Beautiful initiative and hosted the program's kickoff on Friday, April 12, 2002.

"Tokyo Electron is proud to be the first corporate partner in Keep Austin Beautiful's Adopt-A-Street program. One reason we chose Austin as our U.S. headquarters location was its natural beauty, so it is important to TEL to maintain our site and Grove Blvd.," said Barry Mayer, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Tokyo Electron America.
