Mentor ProgramTokyo Electron America employees conduct mentoring activities at elementary schools in the communities where their business sites are located. Mentors serve as advisors to students and spend about one hour per week with the students to get to know them and develop a relationship of trust. The role of the mentors is to assist the students with their studies, discuss family- and school-related issues, and offer advice on the students' problems, concerns, and future issues while providing them with support. Serving as a mentor is certainly not easy, but it allows employees to gain a stronger awareness of their status as members of the local community. Companies cannot act in complete isolation from their surroundings, including the local community. The TEL Group is committed to playing a positive role in the community moving forward. |
